The Rhetoric of Polls

Interesting. In polls that incorporate cell phones, Senator Obama has an average lead of 9.4. In polls that include only landlines, his lead is 5.1.

During the Democratic primary, Chuck Todd stated that Obama's poll numbers, especially in Gallup, increased at the end of the week, especially on the weekends, but would go down during the beginning of the week. A possible reason why: Gallup polls cell phones and people are harder to reach on cell phones during the week rather than on weekends because of the number of free minutes available on weekends.

Will the cell phone vote show up in the polls?
