The John McCain we've been missing recently

I think this is the John McCain we've been missing in the past few weeks--the honorable guy who seemed to be struggling with every attack he made against Barack Obama. His concession speech proves he is a decent guy.

It's a shame the audience lacks the same amount of honor. But we knew that.

And by the look on Palin's face, she is happy when the crowd disagrees with McCain. I bet she thinks she is vindicated...

I'm so glad that *she* isn't the first female VP or Prez. When that happens, it must be a woman who actually cares about women's issues and isn't diametrically opposed to pro-woman policies.

I honestly think you're reading that into Palin's expression, Solon. I saw a woman who was disappointed, who was literally on the verge of tears. Is she already thinking ahead? Most likely, but she is a politician, and what politician isn't thinking ahead?
