The Political Realignment

The problem tonight is that some good, moderate GOP members of Congress are loosing.

Look at a map: the GOP is a regional party now. It exists mainly in the South, a little in the mid-west. It has no power in the Northeast or in the West.

Tensions will run high between the GOP and the Dems. The Dems will need to win as many seats as possible to avoid problems.

For the Country, the wrong group inside the GOP has been punished. The extremists inside the GOP will survive.
