Indeed. I recently saw a big truck with the following art on his bumper: A Man with a Gun is a Citizen; A Man without a Gun is a Victim. In sporting this bumper sticker, the driver certainly did not improve his status with me, but only because the argument is shit.
To be sure, the man without the gun is also a citizen. He is no more a victim than a gun-wielding man is a criminal.
