Because You Know He Reads All My Posts

A tip of the hat to Barack Obama, whose response to Larry King's question about the New Yorker cover directly addressed the insult to Muslim Americans:
You know, this is actually an insult against Muslim Americans, something that we don't spend a lot of time talking about. And sometimes I've been derelict in pointing that out. You know, there are wonderful Muslim Americans all across the country who are doing wonderful things. And for this to be used as sort of an insult or to raise suspicions about me I think is unfortunate. And it's not what America is all about.

In a previous post, I lamented the fact that this hadn't happened yet. I'm glad to see Obama relocated his manhood in time for my love to remain strong.

Good on Obama, to make a statement on behalf of Muslim Americans. Among politicos these last several years, those have been even more rare than a Southpaw post on The Rhetorical Situation.

BTW: What a dustup over the New Yorker! Harrogate just watched Jon Stewart tear pretty much everyone a new a-hole on the subject.

Too bad Stewart doesn't get to host a Presidential debate. Now that would be worth watching.

Just watched the Jon Stewart clip online. Nice! (Plus, I got to see a second of Shepard Smith, his eyeliner wearing self.)

Shepard Smith always lays it on thick with the makeup.

BTW, on an unrelated and more serious note, Shepard Smith almost, but not quite, broke through the Matrix during Katrina. That's better than most of them can say.....

I'm glad that he said something about the cover and didn't ignore it in an attempt to "rise above it" as the democrats are wont to do.
