Intellectually Bankrupt

This clip is from Hardball with Chris Matthews. It represents the end of a certain type of conservatism that is beyond intellectual bankrupt.

It just over two weeks, this type of politician will no longer be in position to greatly influence our political institutions.

Matthews stayed calm. Guess he had no choice. But the disgustingness of what she and those like her have been doing for years, is becoming something of an attention grabber now, finally.

Well. Hopefully you are right that she and politicos like her are about to spend some serious time in the political wildernss. The partisan version of "Time Out," as it were.

But they aren't going away and they will be back in power at some point. With a vengeance. This is America, don't ever count out the Lowest Common Denominator.

I have to agree with Harrogate. I desperately hope that individuals like this will no longer be in power, but they will still be around. And as Joe Biden pointed out recently, Al Gore had a double digit lead 3 weeks before the 2000 election. Again, Solon, if only to humor my somewhat superstitious nature: let's not count our chickens before they hatch.
