Are you reading my mind? I was just about to post a link to this very story. I must say, it takes some serious courage to come out publicly and say that your mother, who is a national figure, is wrong. Good for Bristol Palin! If only the powers that be would sit up and pay attention. . .
Appearing late in the interview, carrying her grandson Tripp Johnston, Gov. Palin said, "Hey, life happens." Of her unwed, teenage daughter's pregnancy, she said, "Not the most ideal situation, certainly you make the most of it."
When I read this last paragraph of the article, I can actually hear Palin's voice speak these words. My brain unintentionally adds her accent and rhythm of speech to to the two quotes. Scary. Or as Oxytodd would say, "Ahh, skehwee!"
