The back story, which will never be as dramatic because of the wait:
We have family in town this week and Nana woke up with Sweet Todler J this morning instead of me, who got to sleep in to a luxurious 7:15am rather than wake up with Kid A.
The problem, and there are always problems when one takes over for another, the ruthless leader of the semi-free world, a.k.a Tobias, enjoys the mornings when I wake up with the Toddler as he receives some extra attention. A scritch here, a purr there...some gentle banter about the markets in Asia. But this morning, I was not there....who would give him the extra attention he needs to avoid bombing Nova Scotia...?
You see- Toby only tolerates, but does not like, Sweet Toddler J. He sits in her little arm chair and she walks up to him a pokes and prods him, sometimes throwing her dog-blanket over him. While she may be showing affection toward him, he is doing all he can to avoid bitting her arm off. Normally, when she gets near him he looks to me to see if I will let him discuss personal space with her.
Additionally, Tobias does not like Nana. Maybe it has something to do with the time she watched him for Megs and kept him closed off in the unfinished portion of the her basement. Maybe it was the time she attempted to make nice with him and picked him up and held him like a baby. He is smarter than all of us combined and, on top of this, never forgets. He seeks out opportunities to do things such as drop anvils on her head when see is not looking. Yet, today, he took his revenge out on Sweet Toddler J.
When Sweet Toddler J played this morning, Tobias entered her room seeking attention but there was no one to give him attention and, more importantly, no one to discuss the markets in Asia. Instead, Nana infuriated him instantaneously... He ran to the window in Sweet Toddler J's room to escape but, alas, the window was not open (Curses! Foiled Again!) and Sweet Toddler J charged at him to pet him (Ha! Ha! I'll get you know). With nowhere to go and no one to save him, he did what any ruthless despot in the semi-free world would choose to do, protect himself....
Sweet Toddler J now has four teeth marks on her arm and, yes, it does look like he fit the entire width of her arm in his mouth. Yet, he still showed restraint as he did not draw blood, as he as done to countless others that have gotten in his way...
After the bite, Sweet Toddler J looked at him in disbelief, wondering what she ever did to him, and cried for forty or so seconds. Soon there after, Megs awoke me to show me the damage my cat (which was hers) cause the Toddler. I laughed and said, "It took that long?"
Please let Tobias know that Minerva sends her sincere condolences. Even though Wild Man is rapidly approaching 2, she has not yet accepted him as part of the family. In fact, every time we leave the house she happily swishes her tail and claims the window in his bedroom as her own. When we return she runs to the front door, only to sulkily turn away when she realizes that we have, indeed, brought Wild Man back with us. As with Sweet Toddler J and Tobias, Wild Man loves Minerva desperately, and she hates him in return. Although she has never bitten him, she has, on more than one occasion, scratched him and even drawn blood. I think we should send Tobias and Minerva on vacation together.

Uh-oh!
This sounds interesting.
But whatever does it mean?
So much left to reveal......
And so many more rounds through which a final outcome will be revealed.
I certainly hope that Sweet Toddler J didn't sustain any major injuries in the battle.
uhoh. What's my buddy Tobi been up to????
Inquiring siamese minds want to know (maya).
