Oxy, I'm really disappointed that you posted this, albeit as funny as it is. Why are you disappointed, M? Well, knowing what I know about Kanye West I suspect that he took the stage at the VMAs to garner some publicity. And it worked. Every news channel has addressed this story for the past two days. Sure, we're all saying "Kanye is a jerk." But we're also talking about him--which is precisely what he wanted.
I've been a bit out of the loop. I heard of the Kanye incident and immediately went to youtube to find the clip. Nothing. All removed because of copyright issues.
I began to scour various websites and blogs to find it. Mrs. Oxy said I was wasting my time. But within a few minutes, I found the clip. And as a bonus, this Obama/Kanye remix was on the same site.
Mrs. Oxy and I laughed and laughed, and I said, "This is going on TRS." Five minutes after my post, we turned on CNN, and Anderson Cooper was all over the story. And within ten minutes, he showed this remix. I thought, "shit!"
I thought I had found a rare gem. Turns out it's not so rare.
Sorry to disappoint, M. I guess our award winning journalism isn't what it once was. Now it seems we're just rehashing common news. By we, I mean me.
