Readers, what would your entrance music be? Yesterday Harrogate asked his students this "Question of the Day" and got several surprising answers.
One student chose this: an excellent choice indeed.
For Harrogate the answer is still what it always was and forever more shall BE.
You know, sort of like this guy.
I can think of three:
ReplyDeleteSuper Bon Bon
or
Battleflag but it needs to be the bridge at the end.
or
Let Forever Be.
So Long and Thanks for All the Fish
ReplyDeleteI have actually had one; back when I worked in a record store, my manager would play this as I came on-shift:
ReplyDeleteici
For the record, The Woof Almighty chooses this
ReplyDeleteRoof, I'd like to see a photo montage of you in that Maxwell video.
ReplyDeleteAn over-the-shoulder shot here; squinty fuck-me eyes there; maybe even some "blue steel."
Roof:
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahahahahahah!!!! HA! Harrogate can totally see you coming on-shift to that song!!!
And, Concur with Oxy on the need for a montage.
Man, that shit's funny.
I don't know how to insert links in my comments (show offs!), but here's my shortlist of contenders:
ReplyDeleteDiana Ross, "I'm Coming Out" (As what? you may ask. As Discolicious)
Commodores, "Brickhouse" (Obviously)
The theme from "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" (Hey, if it worked for walking down the aisle, it will work elsewhere, I think)
Gwen, "Hollaback Girl" (Just 'cause I dig it)
And there you have it (for the moment, at least)
Harrogate asserts that because of her endless complexity, Supa must have ALL of those songs (they suit her very well) for entrance music: which song to be played depending on her will at the time.
ReplyDeleteOh Roof, such a perfect theme song. I second Oxy's and Harrogate's pure joy at the very idea of your entrance (indeed, your every movement) being accompanied by this song.
ReplyDeleteAnd Woof's song is perfect.
Allow me to add:
For the small brown one: Theme from "The Pink Panther"
For Our Lady of Malice: I'm drawing a blank. A little help?
For Chocolate Thunder: Oooh--AC/DC's "Thunderstruck"? Too obvious?
Okay--for Lady Malice:
ReplyDeleteJames Brown, "Superbad"
Really, that song would be an excellent theme for The Situation in general, I think.
For the little ones, you've got it right. "Thunderstruck" is perfect. And surely southpaw, if he is reading this, will agree.
ReplyDeleteFor the Lady of Malice it must be "Walking on the Sun" by Smashmouth!
Something about that song always reminds Harrogate of our Wondrous Yellow Dog: Something on the level of attitude.
Obviously Dr. Reads's entrance music of choice is the fabulous David Bowie's "Suffragette City."
ReplyDeleteObviously.
Ciao,
Amy
